Kenton County Adult Education Program

Have you wanted to work on your GED or brush up on college or workplace skills, but just haven’t taken the time?  Now is the perfect time for you to start working on your educational goals.  The Kenton County Adult Education Program has many sites available where you can work (for FREE) on your GED.  You do not need an appointment to start working at any of the sites, but you may want to call ahead before you go, just to make sure that the site is open.

We also offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, Family Literacy services, help with math and reading, and the Kentucky Employability Certificate.

Check out our website, www.kentonged.org, for a complete listing of our sites or for more information about our programs.

Are you a business professional interested in becoming a teacher?

The MAT program is designed so people can work and go to school.  The classes generally start 6:15pm to 10:00pm (except for the summer semester) and consist of 5 semesters.

If you are interested in going with the MAT program you need to first decide on an area that you are interested in teaching.  Depending on the area you choose and your transcript evaluation we will be able to see what/if any core content in that particular area is still needed to be admitted to the program.  You can view the core areas available at the below link/by clicking on each link you can see the content for each area: http://coehs.nku.edu/gradprograms/programs2/teaching.php

The next step is to fill out the Transcript Evaluation Request form and return it to us along with a copy of your transcripts: http://coehs.nku.edu/docs/MAT_Transcript_Evalu.pdf

Tuition Cost, this will cover undergrad if you need any additional core content in your area of interest and graduate: http://bursar.nku.edu/cashiering/tuitionfees.php
