Position Summary
TheMarketing Manager will design and implement effective marketing strategies to support the direct selling effort for all of our technology solutions.  This person will apply their mix of traditional and 'new technology' marketing expertise to create and execute direct mail, email, Internet, and traditional advertising campaigns, and electronic / hard-copy brochures and presentation materials.  Additionally, this individual will proactively conduct public relations activities including writing trade press articles, speaking at conventions, and doing interviews that are intended to promote our suite of technology offerings.  The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Product Managers to implement the go-to-market strategy for Batesville Interactive products.  This position will also be responsible for managing the competitive intelligence on similar products and providing feedback to our development team relative to needed product improvements and customer requests.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the achievement of our product placement and revenue goals by producing leads from various marketing activities
  • Design and execute effective e-marketing, advertising, and promotional strategies to support the direct selling effort of our technology offerings
  • Design and create effective electronic and hard-copy marketing materials in conjunction with our Marketing Communications team
  • Work closely with the Product Managers to execute the go-to-market strategy, according to the marketing mix plans
  • Work as liaison with Batesville Marketing Communications to execute our go-to-market strategy, including brand alignment, collateral production, and convention participation
  • Design and execute our email marketing strategy
  • Conduct public relations activities including writing trade press articles, speaking at conventions, and doing interviews to promote our suite of technology offerings
  • Manage our competitive intelligence, based on feedback from representatives and customers
  • Provide reporting and analytics as required by the VP Batesville Interactive
  • Represent our team at various state and national conventions as needed
  • Provide overview presentations for all of our technology solutions to customers and internal associates as needed
  • Travel with Batesville Casket sales representatives as required to gather customer feedback around our technology solutions 
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications

 
 Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited 4-year college or university is required, marketing or business discipline preferred
  • 5 to 7 years related sales / marketing  management experience (preference for experience from Software/internet company)
  • E-mail and social media marketing experience
  • Marketing materials/sales tools development
  • Successful execution of marketing campaigns resulting in lead generation
  • Aptitude for learning new/emerging technologies
  • Experience selling/marketing a technology product is strongly preferred.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of recent business and consumer technology, such as various accounting software, business management software, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Working knowledge in software product development technology helpful
  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and/or Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience
  • Some direct sales experience (B2B)
  • Strategic development experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to train/manage/lead/understand LEAN or CI activities and initiatives
