HEALTHY LIVING PROGRAM COORDINATOR (08/20/2010)

As the leader for health policy and program initiatives for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, this director will oversee a broad scope of services, including Safe Routes to School, shared use agreements with community partners, and other health policy and environmental change collaborations that increase healthy eating and physical activity. The Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and improving year-round, health seeker programs and policy development. This position requires excellent relationship building, networking, training, and communications skills. Demonstrated ability in health program development and management, leadership training, and staff development (internal and external to organization), and health policy expertise is preferred. Understanding and knowledge of urban services and public-private collaboration helpful. Good organization/planning, team building, verbal and written communication skills necessary. Prefer experience in coordinating comprehensive policy and program initiatives. Knowledge of health policy at the local, state, and federal levels is strongly preferred.
