DIRECTOR OF HEALTHY LIVING (8/20/2010)

As a leader for health policy and program initiatives for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, this director will oversee a broad scope of services including, Pioneering Healthier Communities, lifestyle coaching and outcome measures for health seekers, employee wellness initiatives, Safe Routes to School, shared use agreements with community partners, and other health policy and environmental change collaborations that increase healthy eating and physical activity. The Director is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and improving year-round, health-seeker programs and policy development. This position requires excellent relationship building, networking, training, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability in health program development and management, leadership training, and staff development (internal and external to organization), and health policy expertise is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Masters Degree and related training is strongly preferred. Understanding and knowledge of urban services and public-private collaboration helpful. Good organization/planning, team building, verbal, and written communication skills necessary. Prefer experience in coordinating comprehensive policy and program initiatives.
