Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission: ENERGY PROGRAMS MANAGER

 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: administers energy and financial assistance programs, including the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, WinterCare Assistance, the Home Energy Assistance (HEA) program, the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) and other energy assistance funds, as assigned, along with Energy Conservation Education Workshops, counseling and resources

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Responsible for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, including vendor relations, staff training, file reviews, application troubleshooting and program monitoring and compliance

2.       Responsible for other energy and financial assistance programs, including fund balance monitoring, file reviews and program monitoring and compliance, as assigned

3.       Responsible for fund reconciliation and financial management and oversight of financial assistance funds, as assigned

4.       Responsible for energy education program, including curriculum development, vendor relations, scheduling, program monitoring and review

5.       Responsible for energy conservation efforts and messaging for low-income clients

6.       Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Degree in social work/human services preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

·         Experience in social work/human services.

·         Organizational skills, including budget monitoring and reporting.

·         Computer experience, including Microsoft Office and internet research, and ability to learn specialized computer databases, as needed.

·         Knowledge of county, community, agencies and resources.

·         Good communication skills.

·         Ability to work with people of diverse and varying socio-economic backgrounds.
