Housekeeper

 

The Kenton County Airport Board (owner and operator of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport) has an opening for a male Housekeeper to clean the men’s restroom and airport facility (BFOQ).  Under general supervision of the Housekeeping Lead, the Housekeeper will perform a variety of housekeeping duties in a group of custodial and allied employees, to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition for an Airport, and complete related work as required.

 

 

Incumbents are responsible for performing any or all of the following Essential Functions:

1.       Assembling and using necessary equipment and supplies, including hand tools, chemicals, and cleaning utensils to address specific work assignments.

2.       Clean the lobby area, hold rooms, baggage areas, restrooms, entrance areas, freight docks, and any and all areas, including windows, furniture, fixtures and trash containers, on an as needed basis.

3.       Reports all maintenance which requires the use of special skills to the supervisor.

4.       Increase skills through additional training, other courses, and/or attendance at monthly department meetings.

 

 

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of cleaning experience.  Applicants must have the ability to read, understand and communicate orally and in writing in English. Applicants must have the ability to learn, understand, and comply with OSHA standards of safety, and other Federal, State, and City regulations applicable by attending KCAB training sessions. Incumbent must have the ability to report all incidents and accidents and have the knowledge of methods, techniques, and materials used in cleaning maintenance of buildings. Incumbent must be regularly and immediately available to meet the needs of the department. The applicant must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and hold a valid driver’s license. Applicants must maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) clearance. Applicants must have the ability to perform work that involves standing, extensive walking, light lifting, bending, stretching, and stooping more than eighty percent (80%) of the time. Applicants must have good eyesight or corrected vision to assure completeness of job duties.
