Public Safety Assistant Positions Available

Applications are now being accepted by the CINCINNATI/NORTHERN KENTUCKY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT for the position of a Public Safety Assistant. Applicants must be available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends up to 23 hours per week.

Covering more than 11 square miles, the airport resembles a city with its own police and fire departments, utilities, communication networks and road system. As both landlord and governing body, the Kenton County Airport Board supports a diverse workforce capable of operating and maintaining all aspects of this "Airport City."

Under general supervision, a Public Safety Assistant position is a non-sworn uniformed position that performs parking law enforcement, traffic direction and control and provides assistance to the airport community in dissemination of information and directions.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school education or equivalent, maintain a valid operator license and have law enforcement, security and or related education. Must have the ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with both individuals and groups, work outdoors in all weather, learn and apply specific laws, codes and regulations and use sound judgment in stressful situations. Must maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) clearance.
