MGR, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT – KELLOGG’S, Florence KY

 

 

Kellogg's has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager at its Florence, Kentucky facility. The Continuous Improvement Manager leads the plant's year-on-year cost reduction effort which requires advanced technical expertise in the field of continuous improvement. This includes the management and coordination of plant efficiency and waste reduction programs, engineering capital projects, and RQT initiatives. Provides cost savings and increased production capacity and leads training and support extending the use of lean/improvement tools within Quality, Safety, and Food Safety and for supporting the Reliability process. Impacts multiple departments and supports startup of new and changing continuous improvement systems for the plant. Accountabilities include but are not limited to: . Overseeing the maintenance and credibility of the Operations Management System Database. . Driving documented improvements in the maintenance and stores management process. . Ass  embling and analyzing data for multiple areas and uses. . Overseeing the tracking of Continuous Improvement metrics for corporate use. . Preparing SOL information and ensuring the quality of Daily, Weekly and Monthly SOL and variance meetings. . Driving actions to address chronic issues . Creating charters to solve problems. . Providing functional guidance to plant employees on Continuous Improvement methodologies directed at scrap, over weights, yield, efficiencies, bottleneck constraints, material handling and work streamlining. . Driving development and implementation of OMP best practices. . Identifying roadblocks to the Continuous Improvement effort and actively removing them. . Setting strategies to creating the plant's Continuous Improvement project pipeline. . Demonstrating and driving fact based decision making. . Managing projects and processes. . Acting independently to proactively influence others and implement change. . Owns continuous improvement budget, ensuri  ng that labor and materials are being utilized efficiently, assigned to the proper account, and is within budget. . Accountable for benchmarking and best practice sharing across the organization. . Responsible to continue ideations with the facility to drive cost savings. . Responsible for source of loss tracking and analysis to create cost saving projects. . Leads the development and documenting of Standard Operating Procedures that must be performed to ensure the best quality outputs at the desired level of proficiency.
