Cincy - the magazine for business professionals - is looking for a part-time photo/design intern to help produce Cincy Magazine and custom publications.

 

GENERAL PHOTO RESPONSIBILITES:

  • learn company color correcting Photoshop action and use to color correct all photos used in all publications
  • assist professional photographer and art director on photo shoots
  • re-size website calendar event photos
  • find hi-res stock photos for articles using company-recommended stock photography site
  • shoot Cincy Scene events periodically and gather people’s names and companies who are in the photos (camera provided)
  • shoot random photos to go with the layout of articles (camera provided)
  • search website’s "media" sections and/or contact local companies for supplied photos to go with stories
  • burn publication files to DVD after publication sent to printer
  • save photos for website using company PSD action after publication goes to the printer

 

IF YOU HAVE A DESIGN BACKGROUND:

  • learn company templates and workflow and lay out articles in InDesign using editor's InCopy files and gathered photos to fit the allotted amount of space
  • design feature graphics per publication for website homepage

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • must be able to work 13-15 hours a week (some flexibility a definite plus)
  • must live in the Cincinnati tri-state area as we are located in downtown Cincinnati
  • must feel comfortable working in Adobe Photoshop (don’t have to be an expert)
  • page layout experience a plus (magazines, brochures, catalogs, flyers, books, etc.)
  • Adobe InDesign knowledge a plus
  • MAC knowledge a plus
  • must be able to provide previous layout work examples
