Position description:

 

1. Network Analysis; strong analytical skills required
2. Install, configure, maintain network services, equipment & devices; e.g; Call Manager peripherals, phones, etc.
3. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning
4. Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials.
5. Knowledge of Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS
6. Documents network problems and resolution for future reference

 

Hardware side Services:

Switches, 3745 & 3750’s – configuration and installation.

Core switches 6509’s - configuration and installation.

Router’s; 2911, and higher  - configuration and installation.

IP Networking skills and protocols.

Telephony knowledge; Voice, data, VOIP, SIP.

Long Distance, Local and Toll Free.

Working Knowledge of MPLS networks.

VPN; design and set-up.

LAN & WAN experience.

Design & troubleshooting VLANS.   

IOS installations and knowledge.  

 

In addition, knowledge of Avaya systems and Interactive intelligence is also a plus.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Required Skills: Basic to advance knowledge of telephony in a voice and data environment.  WAN network protocols,  firewall and VPN knowledge at the install and configuration level. Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, routers, switches and hubs.

 

We need an individual with Cisco experience; someone who knows the Cisco Unified Communication Manager, formerly called Call Manager, terms associated with ACD, IPCC or CCX. Cisco Unity, which is the Cisco Trade-name for Voice mail.

 

Certifications in Cisco call manger experience preferred.

 

Physical Requirements: capable of lifting weight up to 40 lbs.

 

Education Requirements: BS in Information Systems/technology is desirable.
