This is a full time, first shift position.  Work days are Monday through Friday. Requires Bachelor’s degree and strong organizational, follow-up, and communication skills, as well as, accurate data entry skills.  Will consider applicants who will graduate and/or have a license within 90 days.   Course work in Human Resources or Employee Benefits/Health, two years previous experience administering a health plan, and CEBS certification preferred.  Also prefer excellent customer relations skills and data base management.  A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance are also required.   Must have computer skills (ABRA-Crystal Report Writer, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred).

 

Job overview:  Implements and administers health, life, dental, disability, flexible spending, 403b plans and other benefits; monitors claim administration; assures compliance with state, federal regulations; oversees database management or benefits and billing information; designs and maintains group benefits accounting systems; generates monthly reconciliation of payments to carriers and contractors; maintains a database system for benefits administration; enrollment information through internal and external systems; provides assistance to employees and their beneficiaries in obtaining benefits according to policy and contractual agreements; resolves problems between employees and the various carriers; provides benefits information; makes presentations; serves as project manager of the annual open enrollment process; develops forms and employee communications materials; communicates changes and relevant issues to appropriate department for systems coordination; performs special projects as assigned in related areas.
