Branch Manager – Remedy Intelligent Staffing

 Vision

Establish goals and objectives with clearly defined timeframes for the margin generating colleagues in your branch; including Sales Representatives, Personnel Supervisors and yourself.

Work closely with your team to define a strategy for how each of these production goals and objectives will be met within the timeframe agreed upon.

Communicate these goals, objectives and incentives to your staff regularly. Review performance against the defined goals weekly. Keep the vision alive in your branch!

Customer Service

Establish a high standard of customer service within your branch and hold yourself and your team accountable for continuously exceeding that standard.

Ensure that your Sales Representatives are thoroughly working their sales territory and that they are professionally representing the Select Family of Staffing Companies and your team with the clients, both face to face and in written communication. Hold your Sales Representatives responsible for exceeding GM production standards and for generating a minimum average of one new account per week.

Organize your time so you are available to go on sales calls with your sales staff. Work with them to solidify customer relationships and assist in closing sales.

Work closely with your Sales Representatives in the sales effort for the branch including sales proposals, the approval and transition of new accounts, etc.

Hold Personnel Supervisors and On-Site Managers responsible for exceeding GM production standards and making each fillable job order a quality fill. At Select, we pride ourselves on producing the extra-mile service that sets us apart from our competitors.

Reach out to clients regularly to monitor the quality of the service they are receiving from your team.

Respond immediately to repair any reports of customer dissatisfaction communicated through staff members, client surveys, client complaints or any other means.

Staffing

Continually recruit in order to staff your team with the most able colleagues for each staff position. You are the General Manager of your team and you are the person primarily responsible for ensuring the right people are employed in the right responsibilities.

Follow the Team Development section in this handbook for pre-screening steps, tools and procedures.

Clearly communicate expectations of performance with all new associates.

Ensure that proper orientation and training is immediately provided to new colleagues and that your colleagues are receiving continual development opportunities.

Evaluate performance on a regular basis. Use the appropriate activity and margin reports to measure performance.

Oversee the scheduling, attendance and overall performance of your staff.

Systems

Follow the daily; weekly and monthly systems procedures outlined in this handbook and those established by your Regional Manager to ensure your branch is continually monitoring and improving operational performance.

In addition to the client relationships and Gross Margin production of your team, you are also responsible for the quality and cost containment procedures in your branch with primary focus on Safety/Risk Management, Payroll/Billing, and Receivables/DSO.

Oversee the performance of your staff as they administer daily procedures such as recruiting and screening, temporary associate benefits and WOTC tax credit initiatives to ensure best practices are implemented.

Use prudence in the oversight of controllable expenses and staffing budgets within your branch. Operate your branch within budgets and maximize return on the company’s valued resources.

Leadership

Lead from the front. You are expected to work primarily from your desk on the operations floor and you may use an office for weekly review sessions and confidential conversations. You also set the highest standard of work ethic and professional conduct within your branch.

Create and maintain motivation in the branch by creating an exciting and enthusiastic environment through sales promotions, innovative ideas, personalized goals and reward programs.

Reinforce and celebrate the programs, contests and incentives provided by Corporate.

Give clear and consistent communication through means such as

o Staff Meetings

o Order Action Meetings

o Sales, PS and On-Site Weekly Report review sessions

Direct the activities of the branch through delegation and effective time management. Maximize your effectiveness by delegating duties and responsibilities to your staff. Be actively involved and follow-up on all responsibilities you delegate.

Address performance or conduct issues immediately with the appropriate staff members with clear communication of expectations.

Develop the Bench

Hire and develop future leaders and Managers for Select. This practice will engender loyalty from those you mentor, build capacity within your branch and will afford you opportunities to expand your responsibilities in the future.
