Project Manager/Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer

Qualified candidates must possess the following skills and experience:

• B.S./A.S. in Mechanical Engineering and at least 7 years of related experience
• Innovative with strong analytical problem solving and concept design skills
• CAD experience in the latest releases of SolidWorks, Pro/E, and UG NX
• Proven project management capabilities within a diverse team environment
• Strong organizational ability to successfully manage multiple projects for multiple clients
• Excellent interpersonal, client communication and project planning skills
• Adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules
• Linear and non-linear analysis skills.

• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability and passion to positively impact company sales and profitability

The ideal candidate will also have hands-on knowledge of:

• Robust capability with hand calculations and free body diagrams
• Computer-aided analysis: predictive, stress, fluid, and thermal simulation, and FMEA
• Requirements management, tolerance and statistical analysis,  and Design for Six Sigma
• Knowledgeable and experienced with material and process selection - DFM/DFA
• Regulatory/Standards knowledge a plus: UL, FDA, ANSI, ASME, ISO, CFR, NEC
• Prototype manufacturing, build, debug, verification/validation testing, and DOE
• Patents: basic law, competitive landscape searches, avoidance, and white space  
• Electro-mechanical product design, including the design of smart products
